"In Abraham’s seed all the nations of the world will be blessed" Genesis 26:14b
This inspiring list of Nobel winners is largely the outflow of the guiding life principle of Jewish life that is called the Tikkun Olam, "the repair and healing of the world". This principle is expressed in the Mishnah as a specific Jewish responsibility before the Lord for the welfare of society at large and for the continual repairing of the world specifically. This responsibility inspires Jewish youth to contribute to the discipline of scientific humanities that enhances the human condition and science at large.
This discipline begins early in life. When a Jewish youth turns 13, he takes on all the rights and the obligations of a Jewish adult. In this way, he transfers from the religious authority of his parents to the direct authority of the Lord. The Tikkun Olam is the motivating principle of mercy and grace that is guiding force in ancient and modern Jewish life.
The ultimate repair and healing of the world will be fulfilled when Jesus establishes His Kingdom on the earth at the end of the Age.
